what will i need to take the front axle out of my 78 3/4 ton dodge dana 44 any speical sockets or any thing

You're talking about pulling the axle shafts out of it? You'll need a special hub nut socket to get them out.

It'll look like this

no problem, the hub socket makes it much easier for setting up the bearings again afterwards tho.
